The Paola Police Department is currently seeking motivated individuals for the full time position of Police Officer. The City of Paola is located 18 miles south of Olathe, Kansas and the Greater Kansas City Metro Area. The Paola Police Department consist of 18 sworn Officers and 7 civilian employees as well as it's own communications and detention centers. Those selected to fill this position will be responsible for enforcing local, state, and federal laws, investigating crimes, enforcing traffic regulations, investigating traffic crashes, assisting the public, and serving on a TEAM that takes great pride in serving and protecting its community. State certified officers are preferred but not required.​​

Minimum Qualifications:


​Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, must possess a valid Driver's License, must be in good physical condition, must have no felony, serious misdemeanor, or Domestic Violence convictions, be a U.S. citizen, possess a High School diploma or GED, and must be able to pass a written and oral exam, drug screen, physical fitness, physical exam, polygraph, and psychological. Certified Law Enforcement Officers must not have any Brady/Giglio material in their background to be eligible for hiring.
